Dr. Perez received his bachelor’s degree and Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from the University of Texas at San Antonio. He was sponsored by the Navy throughout his training through the Health Services Collegiate Program, and was honorably selected into a Full Time Out Service (FTOS) OMS residency program during dental school. Dr. Perez continued his training at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio and earned his Doctor of Medicine (MD). He also completed his general surgery and anesthesia internship and subsequently completed his oral and maxillofacial surgery training in 2014.
Dr. Perez is a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons (ABOMS) and Fellow of the American College of Surgeons (FACS). Special interests include dentoalveolar surgery, dental implant and bone grafting surgeries, cleft palate surgery, orthognathic surgery, trauma surgery, facial reconstructive surgery, facial cosmetics, and TMJ surgery and reconstruction.
Dr. Perez is currently in active duty at the Walter Reed National Military Medical Center, where he functions as staff in an OMS resident and teaching facility that engages in the full scope of the specialty. During his free time, Dr. Perez like to spend time with his wife and three children.
